Airbnb has revolutionised the accommodation market since its inception in 2009. From its humble beginnings in San Fransisco, the company is now worth an estimated $10billon and has over 2 million listings worldwide.
With its rise in popularity, the Airbnb phenomenon has created a new trend in the stag, hen and party market, seeing revellers clubbing together to book up larger Airbnb locations and letting the fun come to them.
Our first experience of working at an Airbnb was in 2017 at the beautiful Mears Ashby Hall in Northamptonshire. Since then we have received bookings at over 30 separate Airbnb locations.
Our most recent booking saw us travel to North Wales to deliver Archery, Axe Throwing and Laser Clay Shooting at Westbury Castle for a 50th birthday party. You know the venue is going to amaze when the reception has a full suit of armour sat in the corner and Westbury castle did not disappoint.
Despite the cold weather, 40 brave guests took part in the celebrations. Split into teams, each team captain donned their sea captains hat and lead their teams around the activities.
With the light fading the teams headed in to thaw out and prepare for the evening’s festivities – a cocktail making class – leaving our team to pack up and head home, though not before taking a walk around Llyn Idwal in the Snowdonia National Park.
If you are planning a stay at Westbury Castle, Mears Ashby Hall or any venue with a little space, why not contact us for a quote and let us bring the activities to you.
