On February 3rd 2020, On Targett Events Ltd undertook the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant.
The Covenant is a declaration of support for our Armed Forces. It is a pledge to acknowledge that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, along with their families should be treated with fairness and respect within the communities they serve with their lives.
It reads
We, the undersigned, commit to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and Military Families contribute to our business and our country
By signing the Covenant, On Targett Events has made public its support of our Armed Forces. Many of our staff have an Armed Forces background, while employees who are Reservists or Cadet Force Adult Volunteers are given 5 days extra leave each year to allow them to undertake their training commitments.
Director, Ben Targett, said
As an ex-reservist and current Cadet Force Adult Volunteer, I understand the role the armed forces plays within society and in taking this small step I hope to highlight the support I and On Targett Events can offer the forces community
The signing is the start of an ongoing project to work with Armed Forces Charities. This year we will be working with The Rifles at The Rifleman’s Gathering taking place in Allianz Park, delivering axe throwing experiences. In July, we will also be supporting MFor Festival, a veteran-owned one-day festival in Swindon, with a range of activities including crossbow shooting, Pistol shooting and our mobile climbing wall.
